DISCOVER REIKI

In a typical session the client lays face up (clothed) while the practitioner first runs his hands a few inches above the body’s energy field and begins to sense any disturbances in the life force of the individual. He then applies a process called the “Reconnection” for several minutes to clear the auric field. Once cleared He gently places either his fingertips or hands on specific energy pathways (Jin Shin) to open energy blocks within the body energy system. The typical treatment proceeds with the practitioner placing his hands on the recipient in various positions. However, a non-touching technique, where the hands are held a few centimeters away from the recipient’s body, may be used for some of the positions.

The energy is then passed on from the practitioners’ hands to the client (Reiki) and generally a sense of well-being begins emerging from within. Often the client will feel relaxed and in a deep state of rest (much like sleep). It is at that time that the body begins a regeneration process (Life Force regeneration) to come back into balance.  Overall, the hand positions usually give a general coverage of the head, the front and back of the body, the knees, and feet. Between 12 and 20 positions are used, with the whole treatment lasting 60-90 minutes.

For 15 years I have practiced hands on energy medicine. Since that first time that I experienced Reiki (energy balancing) in 2004, I realized that my ability to pass on energy to others has been extraordinarily strong.

During a session I employ one or many of these energy systems depending on the need of the client and or as I am led by my intuitive senses. As with any client, I never know what the result will be since I am simply the conduit transmitting a higher power that is not mine. In any case, the results can often be profound for the client. Generally, a sense of well-being is felt after the session, and if it is meant to be, other healing experiences will be experienced. It is used for all types of Mental, Emotional, Physical, and Spiritual balancing.

The beauty of Usui’s gift, Reiki, lies in its simplicity and its lack of intellectual concepts or dogma. The “Usui System of Natural Healing”, as it was originally called, has no theories or dogma, it is simply pure energy that is transmitted to the client. The great value of Reiki lies in the fact that the energy is guided by a Higher “Divine” Intelligence. It knows exactly where to go and how to respond to restrictions in the flow of life force energy (ki). The practitioner does not have to diagnose or consciously direct the flow of this energy. Reiki’s sacred energies automatically brings healing, harmony, and balance to all aspects of the Human experience, be it Physical, Mental, Emotional, or Spiritual.

Spiritual Guidance:  As with other modalities of healing, spiritual guidance is available to help the individual to come into a true state of wellness. When the total being is balanced, the body will naturally come back to a state of well-being. Spiritual connection is an important component to that state. Being on a spiritual path for many years, Ed’s studies with many enlightened teachers and personal realizations have greatly developed abilities as an intuitive. As an intuitive healer, Ed’s listening skills are keenly attuned to help the individual get beyond life’s challenge’s gently guide them to the road to balance.
